Challenge
A national restaurant company was looking to reward their top-performing managers by whisking them away on a luxurious, all-inclusive trip to Riviera Cancun. The client needed an informational website that not only provided details about the trip to winners, but matched the luxurious style of the trip itself.
Research
Researching both the client and the demographics of the winners, it was clear there was a need for a website that was easy to navigate on both desktop and mobile devices to meet the client and the winners on their primary devices. The majority of the winners had also never experienced an all-inclusive, international trip before, requiring the website to clearly display important information such as passport and travel details, dress codes and recommended attire for on-site restaurants, activities, and events, and included expenses.

Solution
For this project, I coordinated with the UX/UI designer on the project to build a single-page website. This design lends itself to simplicity and easy navigation, which aligned with the needs of the winners. Once I received the UX/UI design and graphics from the designer, I began building the website, using WordPress and Elementor Pro to elevate the website and allow for custom coding options. The website was designed with a responsive approach from the beginning, allowing for easy translation to mobile breakpoints as the build progressed. Anchor points were added throughout the website for quick access to key portions of the website in the navigation, and elements such as restaurant flip cards and a FAQ accordion included custom HTML and CSS coding to improve legibility and establish a clear font hierarchy.

Outcomes
The finished website was launched and sent to winners and staff, with over 50 winners and staff members registering for the event.
